Making theater without a script
Elevator Repair Service conducts workshops for students (high school through graduate school), professional artists and theater lovers of all stripes. Our workshops range in length from a single afternoon to teaching residencies that last several months. In our workshops, participants get the opportunity to work with Artistic Director John Collins and ERS company members to generate scenes from unconventional sources like found text, sound, and video. These intensive sessions introduce participants to our approach to theater-making and offer a glimpse into the earliest stages of our work. John Collins is also available for lectures, panels, and guest teaching.
Saturday May 6th 10am – 5pm, and Sunday May 7th 10am – 3pm*
*Students must be able to attend both days
