As part of his research for playing James Baldwin in Baldwin and Buckley at Cambridge, on October 2nd, 2020, Greig Sargeant had a conversation with Quincy Troupe. Troupe, a highly regarded poet and scholar, was a close friend of Baldwin’s and conducted the final interview with him a month before his death in 1987. Below are two excerpts.
