Company & Production Management Internship

Company & Production Management Internship: This intern must be available 6 hours per week over 1-2 days. Additionally, there will be occasional opportunities to assist with load-ins and technical rehearsals as needed. We ask for a minimum of 3 months commitment. Position begins in September 2016.

OVERVIEW

This position offers hands-on theater production and company management experience. The intern will work closely with Associate Producer Lindsay Hockaday and occasionally assist ERS Production Manager Dave Nelson. The primary responsibilities of this internship are to assist wherever is needed on-the-ground to execute rehearsals and productions.

DETAILS

This position is ideal for early-career artists wanting to learn a wide range of basic, hands-on logistical skills for making theater. The intern will mostly work at our office, participating in various company management activities, and will be offered the opportunity to also assist our PM with on-site production activities as needed. Intern must have good organizational skills and a willingness to do a large variety of tasks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Associate Producer (80%)

-Research hotels and plane tickets for upcoming tours

-Compile travel and production itineraries and distribute to company

-Track and archive all local and international press

-Organize digital archive

-Assist with local education workshops and outreach efforts

-General office support as needed

Assist Production Manager (20%)

-Assist with set cross-loads

-Participate in local load-in and technical rehearsals

-Attend production meetings

-Production errands as needed
