Private Tour of The Met with Peter Schjeldahl and Steve Martin

Tour The Metropolitan Museum of Art one weekday morning before it opens to the general public with brilliant New Yorker art critic Peter Schjeldahl, a group of your friends, and art lover Steve Martin. Peter Schjeldahl, whose books include “Let’s See: Writings on Art from the New Yorker” and the forthcoming “Cold, Hot, Heavy, Light: 100 Art Writings 1988-2018,” will show and discuss a few of his favorite paintings, and then the group can play Stump the Critic, asking him to comment on whatever works they choose. Afterwards, coffee and conversation in the Balcony Lounge. The winning bidder will take home signed copies of “Let’s See” as well as Steve Martin’s art-world novel “An Object of Beauty.”
